Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Limestone Capital LLC ("Farhaven," "we," "us") for your use of the Farhaven app. Please read them. By using Farhaven, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use Farhaven

You must be at least 13 years old to use Farhaven (or older where your local law requires). By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.

What Farhaven is — information only

Farhaven gathers travel-safety information from government and public sources and presents it for general guidance only. It is a convenience tool to help you stay informed. It is not a safety, security, or monitoring service, and using it does not create any duty on our part to keep you safe. Some features may not yet be available on every platform.

You are responsible for your own travel decisions.

No guarantee of accuracy or timeliness

We do our best to show useful, current information, but we cannot guarantee that anything in the app is accurate, complete, or up to date. Information may be:

• delayed — real events can move faster than the sources we rely on;
• incomplete or wrong — sources have gaps and errors;
• automatically classified — items derived from news reports (such as transit disruptions) are selected and categorised by our own filter, which can misjudge or miss events;
• last-known data — when a live source is unavailable, the app may show the most recent copy it has, labelled as such.

Always verify anything important with official government sources and local authorities before you rely on it.

Travel advisories

Travel advisories come from the U.S. Department of State, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Global Affairs Canada, and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Smartraveller). U.S. advisory levels (1 to 4) are shown as the State Department publishes them. The FCDO does not use numbered levels, so the level Farhaven shows for UK advice is our own interpretation of the FCDO's wording. It may not match how the FCDO would describe the risk, so read the full advice from the original source before you decide.

Canadian and Australian advice is shown in each government's own words. Farhaven places every government's advice on a common 1 to 4 colour scale only to sort and highlight it; the governments use different scales and criteria, so the same colour does not mean they assess the risk the same way. Australian advice is fetched by your device (at most once a day) or from a copy our server keeps, and Canadian advice when you open it, so either may be several hours old; when Farhaven shows a copy more than a day old it is labelled with its date.

Visa and entry information

Visa and entry information — including the Entry requirements labels on the map — comes from a third-party data provider and is a summary for general information only. It is not legal or immigration advice. Entry rules change often and can depend on your circumstances, such as the purpose and length of your trip and how long your passport is valid. Always confirm the rules with the destination country's official government website or embassy before you travel.

Hazards, outbreaks, weather, air quality, and flights

Natural hazard, disease outbreak, weather, flight, airport, and transport information comes from third-party and government sources. It may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and the absence of an alert does not mean an area is safe. Follow the instructions of local authorities and your airline or transport operator.

Air quality readings come from WeatherAPI.com. The AQI number Farhaven shows is Farhaven's own estimate, calculated from current pollutant readings using the US EPA AQI breakpoints. It may differ from official or local air-quality reports, which use averages over several hours. Ozone is only included in the estimate at high concentrations; otherwise the category also reflects WeatherAPI's own US EPA index, and we show whichever is worse. Health tips shown with the AQI are general guidance, not medical advice. A missing or failed reading is not an all-clear.

Public holidays

Public holiday dates come from python-holidays, an open-source holiday calendar — not a government source. Dates can change at short notice and some (lunar or religious calendars) are estimates. Closure notes are general guidance only; check official government calendars and the venue, bank or embassy directly.

Tap water

Tap-water guidance is Farhaven's own interpretation of WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme data on the share of people with safely managed drinking water at home. It is not official travel advice and does not tell you whether a particular tap, building or area is safe. Conditions vary by city and building and can change (for example after floods or supply disruptions). "Generally safe" is shown only when at least 95% of the population has safely managed drinking water; where there is no national figure we show "No data". Follow local advice.

Travel phrases

Travel phrases come from Wikivoyage phrasebooks and Wiktionary, written by their volunteer contributors. Farhaven does not use machine translation; if a source lacks a phrase, we leave it out. Translations are a guide only, may be incomplete or wrong, and can vary by region, dialect and formality. They are not a substitute for professional interpretation — in a medical emergency or for a serious allergy, seek professional help and use official or written medical information where possible. Spoken pronunciation uses your device's own text-to-speech voices and may not be accurate.

Embassy and consulate details

Embassy and consulate addresses, phone numbers, and other details come from official government websites, but they may change without notice and may be out of date in the app. Check the embassy's official website before you visit or rely on them in an urgent situation.

Not a substitute for emergency services

Farhaven is not an emergency service. The SOS and location-sharing features are conveniences, not an emergency response service. They only work while the app is open and you tap send, they need a working signal, and they cannot confirm that a message was delivered. They may fail, lose connection, or show outdated information.

Farhaven is not a replacement for calling your local emergency number. In an emergency, contact local emergency services directly.

Not professional advice

Farhaven does not provide medical, legal, immigration, financial, or travel advice, and nothing in the app is a substitute for a qualified professional.

• Health and vaccine information, air-quality health tips, and tap-water guidance are general guidance, not medical advice — confirm with a doctor, travel clinic, or the CDC.
• Travel phrases are not professional interpretation or medical advice.
• Visa, entry-rule (including the map's Entry requirements labels), and local-law information is not legal or immigration advice — verify with the destination's official government or embassy.
• Insurance information, if shown, is not a recommendation to buy any product; compare policies and read their terms yourself.

Third-party data, links, and attribution

Farhaven relies on data from third parties, and links in the app may open websites run by others. We do not control that content or those sites and are not responsible for them, and your use of a third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy. Third-party data belongs to its providers and is used under their terms, including these attributions:

• UK travel advice and local-laws content is Crown copyright, provided by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and reproduced under the Open Government Licence v3.0. It is written for British travellers and may not fit your nationality or situation.
• Canadian travel advice is provided by Global Affairs Canada (travel.gc.ca) and contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada. It is written for Canadian travellers and may not fit your nationality or situation.
• Australian travel advice is from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's Smartraveller website – www.smartraveller.gov.au, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. It is written for Australian travellers and may not fit your nationality or situation.
• Inclusion of Government of Canada and Australian Government information does not imply their endorsement of Farhaven.
• U.S. Department of State, U.S. CDC, USGS, FAA, and NOAA/National Weather Service information is used as U.S. Government material; their inclusion does not imply their endorsement of Farhaven.
• Visa and entry information is provided by Travel Buddy (via RapidAPI); flight status and airport delays are powered by AeroDataBox; rail disruptions in France and Germany come from SNCF and Deutsche Bahn; weather and air quality are provided by WeatherAPI.com, with second-source forecasts from MET Norway (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, api.met.no) under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence; news-derived transport disruptions are detected using data from the GDELT Project; disaster alerts are provided by GDACS; outbreak notices are provided by the World Health Organization and the U.S. CDC. Map data is © Apple, Google, and their data providers.
• Public holiday data is derived from the python-holidays project (github.com/vacanza/holidays), used under the MIT License.

Your responsibilities

You agree to use Farhaven lawfully and only for your own personal, non-commercial travel use. You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, scrape or resell its data, or attempt to access it in ways we did not intend.

Our intellectual property

The Farhaven app, its name, design, and original content (excluding third-party data) belong to Limestone Capital LLC. These terms do not give you any right to our trademarks or branding.

No warranty

Farhaven is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any information will be accurate or current.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Limestone Capital LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss or harm arising out of your use of — or reliance on — the app or the information in it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed USD 100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Limestone Capital LLC from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the app or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in New Jersey have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not otherwise resolved, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Farhaven after a change means you accept the updated terms.
